THE MISSION OF THE GARTH HOMER SOCIETY IS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDEPENDENCE, GROWTH AND PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMUNITY WITH PEOPLE WHO STRIVE TO OVERCOME DEVELOPMENTAL AND PHYSICAL OBSTACLES.

Cara Johnson

I really enjoy making art. I have learned you can use almost any material in art making, even marbles! I am inspired by artists like, Mary Todd-Beam, Lawren Harris and Ted Harrison. I like to combine abstract shapes with landscapes using acrylic paint, permanent markers and sometimes collage.

Since I have joined the ArtWorks Program in 2010 I have exhibited my work in lots of galleries in the community. I like being recognized as an artist in my community, it’s awesome!.
